Fernando Roberto Pereira, a PhD student within Prof Bill Clyne's group, has recently won a prize in a competition in Brazil.  The CISER award, launched in 2008, recognizes young and talented students with creative and innovative ideas, particularly in areas of interest to the firm. This year there were 237 submissions, from which a small number were selected to give presentations in Brazil.  Fernando gave one on shape memory alloys, which is the area in which he's doing his PhD.  The competition and the award ceremony took place in Joinville, Brazil on 25th of August, 2016.
