The University and Department are keen to support students and staff in career development.  The University Careers Service offers many opportunities and resources for career development and guidance for those eligible to register with their service. 

As well as providing a mentoring scheme for newly appointed academic staff, the Department has a Mentoring Panel available to post-doctoral research associates. There is also a Post-doctoral Committee which supports the post-doctoral community within the Department.  More information is available via the For Staff section of the Intranet.  The University also offers a Unviersity-wide mentoring scheme for all staff.
