We extend our congratulations to Professor Akihisa Inoue, a world-leading material scientist and a pioneer in the development of Bulk Metallic Glasses and Advanced Non-Equilibrium Materials, who has been awarded the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Sacred Treasure. 

Professor Akihisa Inoue gave the 5th Kelly Lecture at the 2003 Armourers & Brasiers Cambridge Forum.  The 2024 ABC Forum will be held on 18 June 2024, where the 25th Kelly Lecture will be given by Prof. Mark Ediger, Department of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison.  The programme of talks and registration details are found on our Forum webpages.  The Forum is free to attend.
