Dr Enrique Galindo-Nava has been announced as the winner of the 2019 Metals Young Investigator Award offered by the Metals journal this year to the most outstanding young investigator in the field of metals research.  The unanimous decision followed the awarding committee's review of his accomplishments during his scientific career so far. 

Enrique currently holds a 5 year-fellowship from the Royal Academy of Engineering.  He is interested in process-microstructure-property relationships in structural materials for engineering applications and has many active collaborations with industry via the Rolls-Royce UTC within the Department.
